Pilates is a deep work practice that connects the mind and body together ultimately to build on core strength and stability. The class uses movements and patterns that have evolved and transformed since Pilates was born using mat work and limited equipment.
The practice can dramatically change the way your body looks, feels and moves with the exercises designed to target the deep postural muscles and work to lengthen and strengthen the body in ways most other exercise disciplines can’t.
Pilates is suitable for everyone although as with every class, it is important to let the instructor know of any pre existing injuries prior to taking part that may worsen with exercises of this nature. The class is in the Main Group Fitness studio on level 3 and is fitted out with all the equipment you need to get the workout done. You are welcome to bring your own mat and should always bring a towel and water bottle with you.
