We've come up with some ideas for you to consider when working out how to get the kids Working Out!
We’re in for the long haul as we bunker down in our little bubbles so we can beat this thing together.
Needless to say, staying inside for days and weeks on end is not something we’re used to. Keeping active is just as important for the rest of the family as it is for anyone who may have frequented the gym regularly. The benefits of movement plays a vital role in not only keeping good physical condition – But, it also works wonders on boosting and maintaining good mental health too.
We’ve come up with some ideas to consider when working out how to get the family working out.
✅ Make it fun! Put some music on, throw structure out the window and MOVE.
✅ Get creative: Use different items around the house. Think: 2kg bag of rice, toilet roll throw and catch or a chair for triceps dips.
✅ ‘Teach’ them – How to squat, about the importance of keeping active or about what it is YOU love about looking after your Health + Fitness.
✅ Make it a challenge! For example – On day 1 the kids achieved a score of 40 star jumps in 60 seconds – The goal now is to beat the score on day 2, day 3, day 4… and so on.
✅ Come up with a dance routine. We’re living in a time where tik tok is real and making up your own moves is cool. So, put a tune on and choreograph your own dance routine with the kids. Encourage them to shine and schedule some time for them to perform!
